Dear Fulford Parents and Students,
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year!!! This is your proud principal, Dr. Rodriguez, and I bring you greetings from our entire Fulford Staff. We hope that each of you had a wonderful summer and are ready for a spectacular school year where everyone will learn while enjoying their education in a nurturing and inviting environment. Every falcon will soar academically, socially and emotionally. Our staff is committed to our children!
Congratulations to each of our Falcons for earning a “C” as our school grade for the 2022 school year. After a few years of ups and downs with the pandemic, virtual classes and hybrid classes, we are finally entering a strong foundational year that will yield improved proficiency scores in Reading, Mathematics and Science. This year will be a rigorous year with hard work, but we will provide new experiences and field trips for our students, hands-on and experimental learning which will make it possible for our Falcons to set and meet their school and individual goals.
Other area of growth for our Fulford Family will come in the areas of parental meetings, including PTA, EESAC and Faculty meetings where monthly important information will be shared with all stakeholders so we can all move toward our goals as one! We will also increase activities and performances for special days throughout the year like, Open House, Parental Academy Meetings, Hispanic and Latin American Heritage, Winter Performances, African American History, Haitian Flag Day, Literacy and Math/Science Events and so much more. Fulford is fortunate as our 3rd graders continue to receive support by the I Have a Dream Foundation, Miami (for the 2nd year) and that we are able to offer the after-school T.A.L.E.N.T.S. program for select 2nd -5th graders; offering homework help, tutoring in Reading, Math and Science, arts/crafts, chess, dance, etiquette, gardening, robotics, science experimentation and soccer. We are working on a new school website where all information will be shared and awareness of all activities at school will be available online.
I am excited and determined to have a wonderful year of learning! I know that I speak for the entire staff at Fulford when I say that we are committed to a spectacular year! We will utilize our Passports to Success and we will ensure that every Falcon will Soar!!!
